Privacy Policy

Last Updated: March 2025

1. Who We Are

Seculence is a cybersecurity services company providing penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and security consulting. Our registered contact email is seculenceinfo@gmail.com. References to "we", "us", or "our" in this policy mean Seculence.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect data you voluntarily provide when you fill in our contact form — specifically: full name, email address, phone number, company name, and any additional details you include in your message. We do not use cookies for tracking, run advertising networks, or collect data passively.

3. Why We Collect It (Legal Basis)

We process your data on the basis of legitimate interest and pre-contractual steps you initiate when contacting us for our services. The data is used solely to respond to your enquiry and provide the security service you have requested.

4. How We Use Your Data

  • To respond to your enquiry or service request.
  • To onboard you as a client and deliver agreed security services.
  • To send relevant follow-up communications directly related to your engagement.
  • We will never sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Data Retention

We retain contact enquiry data for up to 12 months after initial contact. Client engagement data is retained for up to 6 years for legal and accounting compliance, after which it is securely deleted.

6. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are based in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, you have the following rights under GDPR / UK GDPR:

  • Right to access — request a copy of the data we hold about you.
  • Right to rectification — request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Right to erasure — request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
  • Right to restrict processing — request we limit how we use your data.
  • Right to data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
  • Right to object — object to processing based on legitimate interest.
  • Right to withdraw consent — where consent is the legal basis, you can withdraw at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at seculenceinfo@gmail.com with the subject line "Data Rights Request". We will respond within 30 days.

7. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. Our form submissions are encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Access to contact data is restricted to authorised Seculence team members only.

8. Third-Party Services

We use Formspree to process contact form submissions. Formspree acts as a data processor on our behalf and their own privacy policy applies to data they handle. We use API Ninjas to verify email addresses at time of submission; only your email address is transmitted for this check. No payment data is collected on this website.

9. Cookies

This website does not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics cookies. We may set a minimal session cookie for security purposes (e.g., CSRF protection). No persistent advertising or marketing cookies are used.

10. International Transfers

Our services may be provided from India. If you submit data from the EEA/UK, your data may be transferred outside these regions. Where this occurs, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place in line with applicable data protection law.

11. Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (e.g., the ICO in the UK, or your national DPA in the EU).

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be noted by updating the "Last Updated" date above. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
